Youth programs at First United Methodist are open to anyone between the 6th and 12th grades. Everyone is Welcome!
Youth groups are a great time for hanging out, playing games and bible studies. Lock-ins and other special events are scheduled throughout the year. |
- Junior High Youth Group meets Sundays after church until 1:30 pm. Lunch is provided.
- Confirmation Classes are held in the Spring for 8th Graders. Students study with a pastor and each is matched up with a mentor to guide them to understand more about God and their relationship with him.
- Senior High Youth Group meets Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for studies and activities.
- Youth Service Projects include an annual Summer Project at a worksite like the Appalachia Service Project, The Red Bird Mission in Kentucky or local projects.
- Youth Outings are going on throughout the year, some conference sponsored, some mission related, many just for fun!
